Spring Residential 2018

During the May Half Term we went away with members from the Double Six and Rotherham-Blackburn youth clubs to the Lake District, please see the photos in the gallery.

The trip got off to a less than auspicious start with a mechanical failure temporarily leaving one of our minibus's stranded on the side of the A1, but later in the evening we were all reunited at the beautiful High Row centre in Cumbria.  On day 2, the group was split with half doing Canoeing and Cliff-jumping on Ullswater (thanks to Rob from Ormside Mill) and the other half tackling an Argo Cat off road experience and assault course at Rookin house, the 2 groups then swapped at lunchtime.  On day 3 we travelled to Allonby, and specifically the beach where a few hardy souls ventured into the 'bracing' Irish sea.  After lunch we went go-karting in Maryport, where aside from one or two members of staff turning it into a demolition derby a good time was had by all.  Back at the centre the weather finally allowed for a bbq, which was a fitting way to end a great week.
