March 21st saw our annual Presentation Night take place at the Double Six Youth Club in Woodseats.

It was a well attended event, and as always there were lots of worthy winners of awards, from Sporting succeess and Youth Club accomplishments, to volunteering commitments and long service recognition.  Too many to mention here, see the photo gallery for all the winners and recipients.

During February half term (despite some initial confusion over the differnt dates in Rotherham, Doncaster & Sheffield!!) we put on 2 very enjoyable days playing Lazer Tag and then Swimming & Ice Skating at Doncaster Dome, as well as a Trampolining trip for Springboard Youth Club. Unfortunately I was having such a good time on the activities I completely forgot to take any photos, so you'll have to take my word for it!!!

Please note our upcoming activities, at Easter we have Trampolining, Mountain Biking and a club activity day.  Then at May Half Term we are going on a 3 night Activity residential to Cumbria.

Please note that our annual Presentation/Awards Night will take place on Wednesday 14th March (not 15th as previously advertised) at The Double Six Youth Club in Woodseats from 7pm.

We have decided from this year to make use of our own facilities (affiliated club buildings) rather than rent somewhere, so this year is at Double Six and then future events shall be rotated between other venues in the South Yorkshire region.

Over the Summer we ran another 3 weeks of succesful activities with several different youth clubs taking part.  See the gallary for photos.  Week 1 saw a girls day with activities including dance and boxing, a boys day with boxing, open-fire cooking and a bushtucker challange!!  Finally that week was the inter-club football tournament, won by Rotherham Blackburn A, ending Hillsborough BGC'S reign, so congratulations to them.

In week 2 we did Kayaking at Rother Valley, outdoor Lazer Tag and a 'Wild' Camp at Rotherham-Blackburn Club, although thanks to the British Summer weather we had to deploy tents and gazebo's but it still worked, I think some people even got an hours sleep!!

And week 3 saw Outdoor Climbing and Abseiling out at Burbage edge which was great (except for the midges), thanks to the guys at Foundry Climbing for that, a Free Running session at Team Katalyst and as usual we finished with a trip to a theme park, this year Lightwater Valley which was a enjoyed by all.

See the calender for upcoming activities.
