Sports students from Hallam University on placement for 6 weeks are working in our clubs, we have great feedback from leaders and full particiaption from all that attend.  Look out for the Dodgeball tournament they will be organising on April 23rd.

This years presentatiotion night had an excellent turnout with over 50 young people, trophies where presented for various awards including voulunteering, sporting achievement and endeavour.

Clubs for all over South Yorkshire took part in Bike Riding, Climbing and a trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park during the May Bank HAlf Term week.  The young people got a chance to test their biking skills on a 12 mile roumd trip of Lady Bower Reservoir, experience indoor climbing at the Climbing Works Centre and also got to see Lions, Tigers and Polar Bears at the Wildlfe Park.

Over 70 young people took part in all the activities with more trips and events on the horizon !!!

On the 26th February young people, volunteers, supporters and busineses came togehther to celebrate 50 years of voluntary service by Barrie Cottingham.  Barrie started volunteerig for the Assocation in 1964, ro put that into context, the young people back then would now be drawing their state pensions.

The night was a great succes with presentations from young people and BGCSY staff.

On Wednesday 19th November BGCSY hosted their 72nd Awards night to celebarte the achivements of young people across the County.  A variety of awards were given on the night out ranging from sporting, participation and volunteering, notably the Presidents Award for 50 years service to Barrie Cottingham.  The night was a fantastic success with a disco and buffet after the event.
